Lucas, the owner of HQCC, is an experienced General Contractor providing the high quality project management for your projects. He loves turning your burdens into blessings and your next dream project into a reality.
As a Logistics Officer in the National Guard for 15 years, Lucas developed strong leadership skills. He developed his problem solving skills as an Engineer working at John Deere Des Moines Works, a graduate research assistant for multiple laboratories at ISU and as a design engineer for Ames National Laboratory.
Through many missions trips overseas and his participation in the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, Lucas’ love for people grew. He also just so happens to be a strong engineering professional, with a Masters of Engineering degree focused in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.

Merrit Akin, the owner of Precision Painting, is a skilled and passionate contractor specializing in painting and construction services. He loves turning your vision into a masterpiece and bringing your dream projects to life with precision and care.
Growing up working with his father, Merrit developed a strong foundation in construction at a young age. From demoing tile to building decks, additions, and remodeling spaces, he honed his skills and deepened his love for working with his hands.
In addition to his work in construction, Merrit is a dedicated Level 9 gymnast, practicing at Chow’s Gymnastics for over 20 hours a week. Gymnastics is his true passion, and he aspires to compete in Division 1 college gymnastics after high school. His drive and discipline in both athletics and academics reflect his commitment to excellence in all areas of his life.
A junior in high school, Merrit is working toward earning an associate’s degree in science and has big plans for the future. He is deeply committed to his faith, having grown up in a Christian household, and his relationship with Jesus is the center of his life. Whether spending time with his family, working on a construction project, or pursuing his athletic goals, Merrit’s enthusiasm and work ethic shine through in everything he does.

Spencer Akin, the owner of spencer1painting, is a dedicated contractor delivering high-quality craftsmanship tailored to your needs. Specializing in fine carpentry trim and precision painting, Spencer’s meticulous attention to detail ensures each project exceeds expectations. His background in photography enhances his eye for detail, translating seamlessly into his work.
With over five years of hands-on experience in house and apartment renovations, Spencer honed his skills working under a seasoned house flipper. This foundation cultivated his commitment to excellence and innovation. Despite recently graduating high school with over 50 college credits, Spencer has already built a reputable business rooted in quality and reliability.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Spencer embraces challenges to further his personal growth. From volleyball and art to fitness, his hobbies reflect his drive for improvement. Guided by his faith, which serves as a cornerstone in his life, Spencer approaches every project and relationship with integrity and purpose. Whether it’s enhancing spaces or exploring his next steps, Spencer remains dedicated to achieving greatness in all he pursues.
